COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Our Commitment to Community

At Sawdust and Stone Builders, we are dedicated to building a strong community around our business. We live, work and raise our families here in the Northern Front Range and our commitment to sustainability and community giving is incorporated into everything we do. Check out our recent community projects below.

CSU - 100th anniversary of Painting of the A

August 2024

We feel it is our honor to live and work in such a community centered place. And so we look for ways to support our community. When we were contacted by CSU to fabricate a mobile 'A' to bolster school spirit to even greater heights during Homecoming we were excited to make their vision come to life. In Fort Collins you can see an A painted on the hillside West of CSU's Campus. The Alumni Association is celebrating 100 years of students assembling on top of the hill for their annual lighting celebration. This year, students will be painting this mobile 'A' with wishes for their future and memories of their time at CSU.

False book catch leads to hidden gnome

August 2022

To add extra joy to this engaging little free library we added a false book that when pulled opens a hidden compartment where you can find a little gnome house.

Repurposed barn wood transformed into a little free library

August 2022

With the extra barn wood pieces from one of our custom barn wood fireplaces, we created a little free library. Having free access to books can change a life.

The Gardens On Spring Creek: Wine Tour

August 2018

In under 5 hours and using scraps from a previous build, Sawdust and Stone created a custom cooler stand with wine rack. Their efforts helped to generate over $4,500 for the Gardens on Spring Creek Garden A'Fare fundraiser.

The Gardens On Spring Creek: Beer Tour

August 2018

We take our commitment to serving the our community and customers seriously and work hard to ensure that each build is exceptional and little is wasted. Lumber that could have ended up in a landfill was

repurposed into a cooler stand to help the sustainable efforts at the Gardens on Spring Creek.

Planter Boxes - Arts and Imagination Pre-School

June 2019

These planter boxes will be used for hundreds of students and hopefully foster a love of nature for the next generations of our community.

Global Village Learning Academy Pre-School: Planter Boxes

May 2018

Amy a Teacher at Global Village Learning Academy had this to say about the project...

"I am one of the recipients of these amazing garden beds. My students have the good fortune to learn the importance of growing their own food and we are forever grateful here at Global Village International Preschool. Our gratitude for these beautifully crafted donations to our non-profit runs deep..."
